Tasmanian Batteries Pty Ltd was formed back in 1985 when David Martin, the current Managing Director, established a partnership with his father Don who was the Tasmanian State Manager for Century Batteries at the time.

Don & David Martin are appointed as the Tasmanian distributor for Century Yuasa Batteries based in Launceston.
1988
Tasmanian Batteries open a depot in Hobart
1991
Tasmanian Batteries open a depot in Burnie giving them state-wide coverage
1998
Century take over the running of the business and convert depots to Battery World outlets
2002
David Martin takes back over the Hobart depot and converts to Tasmanian Batteries as a retail outlet
2003
Re-commence dealing with trade customers in Hobart using Bond, Supercharge and IBD brands
2008
Tasmanian Batteries are appointed as the Southern Tasmanian distributor for Exide & Marshall Batteries
2008
Converted Hobart depot to a Marshall retail outlet
2009
Tasmanian Batteries take over the existing Exide depot in Launceston
2012
Tasmanian Batteries appoint a distributor to service the North West Coast
2013
Tasmanian Batteries introduces the Powerbreed battery range to the Tasmanian market
